Religious Harrassment among Ghanaians

on

Why do many Ghanaians assume everyone share their perspectives, values and beliefs and bombard others’ mailboxes with their own religious doctrines and messages?

Do you people have any idea how irritating and offensive that’s? Do they think others are ignorant, idle or interested?

Can you also separate church and religious activities from other social engagements or settings? So you religious fanatics have any meaningful and productive things to do to contribute to humanity and societal advancement?

Must we always be breathing religious doctrines? Whose version is the real deal? Why is yours better than someone else’s?

Do you religious fanatics think we’re unemployed? Can you find some real life and do something productive.

Can you stop assuming others are interested in your lifestyle or kind of belief systems. Some of us want to learn something more productive and from a broader perspective and varied knowledge bases.

Facebook is not for religious harrassment and imposition.

Are there religious charities and forums where you can channel your beliefs? May you practice your beliefs by visiting the sick, caring for your neighbours in need? Or someone who could badly need your prayer and religious teachings?

Have you noticed the natural disasters and war victims across the globe? Have you volunteered? Have you donated any medicines, money, clothing?

Please learn to draw boundaries around where and who you share your doctrines.

Respect religious freedoms and individual right to choose a form of belief systems and values.

Stop assuming others don’t know what you know. Or that they share your belief. Please stop the unsolicited bombardment in people’s mailboxes.

Or have the basic decency to ask if they share your belief. Or why don’t you learn about the person , get to know them and find out what kind of messages may be useful or meaningful.

Don’t assume you know what others want or need until you taken the time to find out.

Be respectful of the personal space.
